The Mater welcomes over 2,500 babies into the world each year. Our maternity staff know that having a baby is one of the most exciting times of your life and pride themselves on providing supportive, high quality care before, during and after the birth of your baby.
Our maternity facilities include six personal and comfortable delivery suites and 36 private postnatal rooms, including 2 family rooms with double beds. It is supported by a fully equipped level two special care nursery with phototherapy lights, monitoring equipment and resuscitation cots, to effectively care for sick and premature babies.
