A strong focus on education

We are focused on your education and development as a registered nurse and so we have experienced Nurse Educators to plan the program to balance within your lifestyle and we have clinically based educators to navigate the transition from student to registered nurse.

We have many educational opportunities to continue your professional development and maintain your portfolio for your national registration.

Our educators say…

'This diverse program for new graduates enables them to have greater scope in their professional nursing futures; that positively impacts on their level of career satisfaction and enables them to work in a variety of clinical settings.'

Part-time graduate opportunities

To satisfy the needs of our graduate nurses, the Mater has created an innovative option whereby a part-time program is offered to new graduate registered nurses. This option is available to all graduates and requires that you work a minimum of three shifts a week. During the first three months of the program, graduates are required to work full-time and the remainder of the year is completed by negotiation with the new graduate and staff development.

Intakes

Our program commences in February each year.
