Main activities include hip, knee and shoulder replacements as well as spinal, knee and ankle surgery.

Orthopaedic services are considered one of the focal services of the Mater Hospital. In 2009 more than 4,500 orthopaedic procedures were performed, of which over 1,600 were joint replacement procedures.
Our orthopaedic services also include a Pre-admission Clinic as well as inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation options.
